Pickaxe and Shovel
These are simple tools for preparing the soil, breaking through the hard ground, forging paths for water. We labour in hope to see a garden grow, for new life.
We find creative ways of expressing our fragile human story in engagement with Western culture, rooted in the mystery of the crucified Christ. We do so in hope for the city of God, for new creation.
Welcome!
Since I was a child, I have loved the arts, drawing and painting, watching movies, making music with friends. And then there was the discovery of literature. After reading Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky as a young adult, there was no turning back.
In this project, I seek language for the mystery of faith that fuels my heart and imagination. It attempts to give expression to the inner fire that burns unrelenting (Matt. 3:11).
As a Canadian living in Germany, I engage in collaborative projects. We have released a single in anticipation of the upcoming album Hymns of New Wine. "Seeds from Other Worlds" is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music!
We are still in need of $12,000 USD to complete the project. Will you help us to fund the rest of this production? Please give here to the Pickaxe Project.
